If Tony wants out as bad as it sounds, would his staying really be all that much of a positive? I mean, I guess a hall of famer going through the motions is better than a rookie busting his ass, but still...

Shame they didn't trade him when his value was higher.

My big problem is going to be veteran leadership. You always need some experienced players on a roster.

Surtain, Donnie and TG will all be gone next year.

The fact that Herm is going to have total control over young guys scares the ****ing shit out of me.

This team better spend money this offseason.

That was part of the point I was making. I'm not sure what kind of leadership he's providing at the moment, if he's pushing for a trade. Hell, maybe he's no different in the locker room than he was anytime before. Not like I'm in there. But still, have to wonder a little.

It's all very weird, in any case. I still wonder if this is all a tantrum about the record.

It's gone largely unnoticed, but Gretz has said (and I think Glazer confirmed) that Tony first asked for a trade three weeks ago. That pre-dates all the record stuff.
