Thigpen looked a lot better than a backup today.

Of course, its only one game. Let's see how he does when teams have more film on him. He might have weaknesses in his reads that will let DBs jump his throws. Even so, he's got enough arm and mobility to be a starter. Today, he was accurate and made good decisions. If he plays close to this level the rest of the seaosn, he will be the qb next season.

Even so, you will have to draft stafford or bradford if they are available. (Of course, if Thigpen plays at this level the rest of the season, we are unlikely to have a shot at Bradford or Stafford). In the unlikely even we do end up one of those college qbs, you can always trade the high round pick at a later time if Thigpen shows he's "the guy".
