If we keep playing like this, we won't be in a position to draft Stafford. It's not good or bad, it is what it is.

With that being said, a genetic freak like Rak daddy would go a long way towards fixing the ills of this defense. He's not as long as Michael Johnson, but he's fast, explosive, and incredibly strong. Plus, he's taken boxing lessons, so Krumrie will love him with his ****tard slap-fight drill.

There could be worse selections in the 3-7 range where we will most likely choose.

How is it a waste? when you can get your absolute best players (especially at OL ) on the field you do it, and Albert is an excellent utility guy with his background.

Positional value isn't just the value of the position. It's the value of the position relative to your team. The Chiefs don't need a left tackle. Period. Just like a corner isn't a valuable position to us.

Yes, you can. After a while you think that people would realize that even with one of the best OL's in history, we didn't win a goddamned single playoff game and went to the playoffs but one time.

You don't get top 5 picks every year. Using one to draft a player at a position we don't need in order to move a promising young player to another position is a waste, particularly when you can use that pick to fill an actual need. Drafting a tackle in the first round only makes sense is Albert disappoints at LT.

Dude, it all starts and ends at OL, and if can secure that with all-world players you pull the trigger. It's the same philosophy when we talk about the QB position concerning Thigpen.

LOL, it's funny when we look at the piss poor at OL, that some people think that when KC has one good OL you is also an excellent it's all gravy. For example knowing what we now about Will Shields, do you think drafting him in the 1st round in the top 10-15 an asinine idea? I don't think so, also if you remember when Shields was the makeshift LT, he was at a pro-bowl level there too.

I know it's total overkill but I have to say that if we got Oher and moved Albert to RT... people look at that as a waste in terms of value, and you may have a point.

But if you stop to look at what you'd have as an actual team... having two guys like that playing tackle means your offensive line is going to be pretty darn good, for a long time... and probably leaves us a QB and RB away from a playoff offense, if not top notch offense. Tough to stop a team that has a beastly offensive line.

Nothing that Branden Albert has shown is indicative of the fact that he's not a cornerstone tackle.

It's not the D-Line. You don't need a rotating group of 6-7 guys out there. Yeah, a little depth is nice, but spending a top 15 pick on a guy who is going to play left guard is just foolish. It's not a valuable position.

No, it doesn't.

O-line is important, but it's not everything. As long as you have an O-line good enough to keep the QB upright and open holes in the running game, it's done its purpose.

Our fans severely overvalued the importance of the offensive line because we had shit at LT for two years.

We also had an all-world line and won shit with it.

How do you know that Branden Albert will excel at RT because he's good at LT? At this point, he's a much better pass blocker than a run blocker, and RT is the road grader position.
