I was reading ESPN's fantasy evaluation for tomorrows game and thought their opening comments needed to be posted for your enjoyment. I actually thought it deserved it's own thread, but decided to post it here instead.

Analysis: Well, for one team this means everything and for the other it means the first game out from under the thumb of its incompetent general manager. The Chiefs finally and mercifully fired Carl Peterson, and while if I lived in Kansas City I'd want to see Herm Edwards follow him out the door, it's a start. Peterson has proven to be a horrible talent evaluator in the NFL's "modern" era (i.e., it's a 24-hour business now). He gave Larry Johnson a stupid, unnecessary contract extension, drafted Ryan Sims, made the playoffs twice in 11 years and had a terrible time evaluating defensive talent. He did a great job through much of the '90s. But he's been a disaster since. It's unlikely the Chiefs will suddenly rally because their boss' boss is out. It's likelier the team gives up after pulling the mother of all choke jobs against the Chargers. Still, it's a good sign Kansas City may be getting a real football team again some day
