I'm pretty sure Pioli is a smart guy. I'm pretty sure the Patriots aren't trying to rip off the Chiefs.

I'm pretty sure that there was a REASON this trade was made...and I'm pretty sure Pioli knows more about Vrabel than any of us.

But I eagerly await strike three...should be sometime next week.

Just think....if it's a 5th or 6th, we basically traded Sims for Vrabel...

Vrabel can teach more to young players than edwards.
How many rings does edwards have?
Edwards was soft and I am glad they got rid of him.
Vrabel is right now at the least the 2nd best LB on the team.

When Pioli first came to New England they signed 20 guys his first year. They won the super bowl with guys like Roman Phifer & Otis Smith. You need Vets to win a superbowl.

I am fine with that, but he has been brought in to show the Patriot way. Thats fine in my book. We need something like that on defense.

It's a tough transition to a 3-4 defense. It's crucial to have a veteran that knows the system cold to help with that. Vrabel's older, lost a step, yeah, but he'll be like a field general during the week in practice and on Sundays.

Meh. Olivea is overrated...RB's can be found pretty easily undrafted...and the last guy is a punter (whoopdeedoo!)

I'm talking more about Wes Welker, Antonio Gates, Kris Dielman, Kassim Osgood, etc...

THE SAME guys who were laughing about donnie edwards needing a RB to give him a ride out of town are now crying about getting rid of him and trading for vrabel. at least vrabel TACKLES

Not making a tackle and reading the play wrong are both attributes I don't want from my starting LBs. Just because one is better than the other doesn't make it right.

Yeah, I'm sure that NE has the best interests of the Chiefs in mind.

And if you'd paid one ****ing bit of attention in this thread, you'd also know that not only does this suck for the draft pick involved, but that a MUCH bigger problem is the total marginalization of the #5 pick in the draft that this signals.

Obviously, we were going to move to a 3-4. But this was the confirmation, and wasting Dorsey in a 3-4 is a bitter mother****ing pill to swallow.
