Chiefs sign OL Goff
The Chiefs agreed to contract terms today with veteran offensive lineman Mike Goff. Goff has some versatility and could wind up starting for the Chiefs at center or right guard.

The 33-year-old Goff played 11 NFL seasons, the first six with Cincinnati and the last five with San Diego. He has been a starter for the past nine seasons.

Why isn't it at easy as hitting the squat rack with a trainer every other day?

It could be, I don't really know. I just know that once he started working out with teams, the scouting reports started to change.

I have a feeling that Herb's pretty much capable of doing whatever the Chiefs need him to do. He was outstanding as the starting left tackle and though he doesn't have the prototypical size for right tackle, I think he could grow into the right or left guard position and man either one for a decade.

I agree. He's run stopper and can cover but most of all he's a playmaker. He also will be a pass rusher if we draft him. Since we don't have a ANY pass rushers our blitz packages will need to be creative.
