One of the guys owns a house on a busy street next to my store has a boxer, he's got one of those invisible fences for his dog. Damnedest thing i've ever seen that dog normally goes none stop running around the house , but never outside of the boundary.

We had one back when we did not have a fenced in backyard but had a Stupid Spaniel. She was pretty stupid, but she was smart enough to know if that colar started beeping she better back up. Bury the wire that transmits the fm radio frequency and put the collar with the receiver and volts on the dog and it's not long before your dog learns the boundry. Worked great.

My female got out tonight. My girlfriend let her out, came in to the dining room and went back to let her in and she was gone.
I want an electric fence. What's a good one, that is cheap? |

For in town, the invisible fence is better than an electric fence. Electric fences can become grounded and add noise or interference to your phone or cable tv. Or, it can cause your neighbor trouble and the phone guy will come and shut the damn thing off. (Yes I've done it before) And then the dog gets out again.

I bought mine at Wal-mart. It was about 8 years ago, but I still see them there. Mine was a PetSafe brand and cost about $150. I was able to install it in 3-4 hours.
