I think this kid really has the chance to be special. He's got a good set of physical skills, amazing intangibles, and he's very, very smart. He's the kind of player that the Patriots targeted in the past, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him go as high as the fourth or fifth round in the draft.

The Kansas City Chiefs select Don Carey, CB, Norfolk State.

This player looked like a future star just a few years ago. Coming out of famed HS program De La Salle, he was a top-ranked recruit, went to Oregon and earned a starting spot, and ending up making the Freshman All-American team. It went downhill after that, as he struggled to stay healthy and ended up getting kicked off the team.

He has the cover skills and speed to play in the NFL, he just needs to grow up and avoid injuries. With a 7th round pick I'll take a chance on him.

The Seattle Seahawks select Jackie Bates, CB, Hampton

It's not often you can grab a potential MVP in the 7th round.

This guy has had some injury concerns, but I think that he could be a decent Cover 2 MLB as long as you have bigger DT's to eat up some blockers. He's rangy and athletic.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Josh Mauga, MLB, Nevada

Right now he's a better athlete than a football player, but he has the potential to do some damage.

I picked him in round 5 for the Cowboys.

C'mon Gator Boy and Mecca I know you guys are lurking. The other Spielman brother has big board all done in crayon of course.

BTW, Gator Boy. It looks like the schedule makers have smiled upon me. Nov 7th Gators host Vandy and Nov. 8th the Jags host the Chiefs. I've never been to the Swamp and 2009 looks like I'll finally get there.
