Cassel or Sanchez?

I realize that we are where we are, but the more I see about Sanchez, the more I'm afraid that a few years down the road, we may look back and realize that we passed up on the franchise guy that we've been looking for. I know that Cassel played ok last year, but is he a franchise guy? ...likely not. Thoughts?

He's short. He's battled injuries. He plays in an offense that isn't conducive to making the jump to the NFL.

Those are just a few.

Given your personnel record with the Knicks, I'm not surprised.

The only arguments against him are "he's short" and " he started 16 games" and of course for anyone that watched him play he doesn't remotely look like a 1 year starter.
I admit that I like him more now than I did a month ago... but I am still glad the Chiefs won't take him at #3.

He has the third best arm in the draft. Freeman and Stafford are both better.

He hasn't faced the best defenses. He had a great offensive line that kept him from having to face much pressue, and he got to face, on average, lesser defenses because of the conference he plays in.

Oh, and as recently as 2007, he was benched in favor of Booty.

Sorry, to say that his 'only' questions are height and inexperience is extremely understating things.

I am rooting for him. I don't think he will ever be a great QB. I think he will be a Chad Pennington type of QB. Efficient, smart, but never great.

He's 6'3"! That's not short. Same height as the magical Sanchez.

Injuries: Stinger (very common in football), pinched nerve, and a concussion. I would not call this injury prone.

He's smart, mobile, and a hell of an accurate passer (in the pocket and on the move). I think he will be the best NFL QB out of next year's class.

Andrew Walter has a better arm too. Let's bring him in. I'm sure he could be less mobile than Damon Huard.

Jesus Christ people we ARE NOT spending our first 2 picks on Qb's when we have holes EVERYWHERE on the defensive line and front 7. Especially if we are tinkering with the 3-4.
