It's not easy to find a kicker with the supernatural ability of our hypothetical kicker. No way he'd get out of the first round.

However, K's score, and a K that gives you an advantage over every team in the league by making your offense need 20 less yards on every possession..??? Think about how many times a game your team punts between your own 45 and the other teams 40. Now add 3 points at least 75% of the time. |

If he hits an NFL record kick 75% percent of the time, you would think he would be drafted pretty early. No one up to this point has kicked 65 yards in a game. Also, much less chance of a bust...a kick is a kick no matter what team you're against. Weather may vary, but that's no indictment on the kicker.

I'd do a 2nd rd pick on him. On a side note I saw the Air Force Academy kicker put one through the uprights on a kick-off last fall. He did have about a 30mph tail wind but that's the only time I've ever seen that done.

1st pick overall.
The next question is what would you pay a #1 draft pick kicker? ![]() |

It will give your team an advantage to a certain point. A kicker isnt a guy that can lead your team and have the guys rally around him. He isnt the attitude of the game. I like Curry because he brings so many different aspects to the game. Hes a true leader. Hes not just any ILB. Hes better than just any ILB. If he was just some ILB that I thought would be a good fill in guy, I would not even think about it. Curry is different from most of the ILB's in the league. He will be in the same category are the Ray Lewis', Patrick Willis' of the NFL within 2 to 3 years. Kicker in the first is just a bad idea, unless, like I said he can punt also and do it very well. If he can kick, punt, and save yourself a roster spot and be very good at it, then hell yeah I would take him in the late 1st.

![]() A stud kicker will score more points by himself than any other single player on the team. A lockdown kicker is INFINITELY more valuable than a guy like Curry. |

The K-ball doesn't travel nearly as far as the college ball.

Don't get me wrong, he's the greatest kicker ever, but even that guy is NOT a HOF QB or RB in terms of his impact on the game. |
