At least the Chiefs have some hope. It's like a plain girl, getting a makeover to be pretty. The Raiders, on the other hand, are that ugly douchebag who pancakes on the makeup and THINKS she's pretty, without noticing that everyone around her finds her revolting.

The Lions, winless last season, having gotten rid of Millen, even THEY have more hope than Oakland. And will probably finish with a better record than the Raiders.

You have no clue on Haley yet, he is a great prospect and obviously a brilliant mind but he is a rookie head coach in the NFL and until he proves otherwise, thats all he is in my book, this is a Homer assumption

Cassel is a product of the Patriots system and I think this guy will disappoint you and you all have lofty expectations of him behind a bad offensive line. I will take Russell anyday than Cassel

Pioli is good, I will give you credit for that and should produce a good system in KC, but it won't be close this yr to a turnaround

Different situations. First, Vrabel is at the very end of his career. He had a bonus coming that the Pats were not going to pay. He was going to be cut, or he would have to renegotiate his contract.

He knows that he would not have gotten the same deal anywhere else.

Plus, Pioli is here, and Vrabel has to feel better about playing for a team with the GM that helped BB build three Super Bowl winners than playing for the Raiders.

I think both would rather play with the Pats this year. But, I Vrabel has to be far more satisfied with his situation than Seymour with his.

And what's Cable's resume? He was a friggin O-LINE coach, fer crissake. At least Haley was a coordinator. And Haley doesn't go around breaking his assistants' jaws. Cable's a freakin' joke right now. Russell sucks so bad the fans should leave a $20 on his dresser. And the "product of the system" argument has been had time and again, on many players. I remember hearing it about Brady. Does a good cast make a QB better? Duh. But the QB still has to avoid the pressure, stand tall in the pocket, make the accurate throws. Randy Moss and Wes Welker weren't catching balls from a JUGS machine last season. Cassel displayed all the necessary tools... which is a hell of a lot more than Russell has done yet.

And I don't believe anyone in Chiefs-land has said that. I haven't heard them predicting a Super Bowl. Unlike you Raider homers, who think picking up Seymour has suddenly made you a juggernaut.

I think the Chiefs will surprise people. I think they'll be close to .500 by the end of the year, especially given the easier games in the final five weeks. Hell, they might even make 9-7 and fall short of a wildcard spot. But even if they suck to the tune of 2 wins, I think they'll still show progress in a positive direction. The Raiders, on the other hand, will just suck. Cryptkeeper sucks, Russell sucks, Cable will suck, the fans suck, the city sucks, the record will suck... it will be a suckfect of suckalicious proportions, LOL. How that team fell so far so fast from a Super Bowl in '02, it's almost pathetic. They have zero direction, and zero hope, and Cable will probably be fired by the halfway point.

russel is not going to do anything in the nfl. he's an oversized byron leftwich, slow, sloppy mechanics and a painfully slow release. i'll take cassel's tools over fatty's anyday. granted, we don't know much about haley as a head coach, but i like the change in philosphy he brought to the chiefs organization. oh, and he doesn't have to break any of his assistant coach's jaws. i'm actually still evaluating pioli right now, if the team makes strides this year, i'll be behind him, but until i see improvement in the results i'm skeptical.

The Raiders hold the record for the most double digit losing seasons. They are still in that streak and likely adding to it. Your head coach assaulted one of your other coaches. Your franchise is a joke.... not just with Chiefs fans.... with everyone. Listen to any National sportstalk show.... and they can't help but laugh when the Raiders are brought up.

The Chiefs meanwhile landed Scott Pioli. The guy that several teams have tried to hire over the last few years. The guy that Vrabel is familiar with. The guy that Vrabel knows is capable of building a winner.... and has done so recently.

The suck that is the Raiders goes far beyond their onfield struggles.

Oh, and Vrabel knows he makes more as a Chief than he would have made as a Pat or any other team. Kind of eases the pain.
