They don't want to deal with those pesky issues with websites that don't do their updates for Firefox in a timely manner. Now, thats not Firefox's fault, but its still an issue you have to deal with.

If you are technically challenged stay away from Firefox.

I think this is a bit of an exaggeration. My mother uses Firefox and she's very technically challenged. I've only run into one website where I've ever had a problem with Firefox (Bank of America's online banking). Just use Firefox and if you run into an issue on a website, you can always open up IE.
