You can drop coverage at any time, you'd just have to have a change of status or wait until the next enrollment period to sign up again.

If you're a healthy individual, I might consider the risk - depends on when the next enrollment period is.

My bad: Didn't pay attention to the fact this isn't employment-based insurance.

I get it through my work. I chose PacifiCare, I could have gone with Kaiser Permanente for $80 a month but they are stupid.
