Chiefs 2010 Opponents

Since we are already looking toward the draft. I thought I would check out the 2010 opponents. It really doesn't look that bad playing the NFC West and the AFC South, maybe only 3 or 4 playoff teams that the Chiefs will have to face. The rest of the teams will be bad or just average. Hopefully we keep on improving with a good off-season, and a really good draft and some Key F.A.'s. Well bash away, just some hope for our 2010 Chiefs. WE COULD WIN 9 GAMES, with this schedule. Go ahead talk some SHIT.

The Jags will most likely be in a full rebuild, as will the Titans. Those should be W's

The Colts is almost a definite L with a healthy Manning
The Texans are probably a few steps ahead of the Chiefs.

Gotta figure KC can win 2-3 games in division next year, but anything more is pretty optimistic.

Figure in the last place sched, which will have them face the Browns and Bills (most likely) and it seems like a pretty soft schedule.

If the rebuild has any traction, they'll go 8-8 next year. If they don't, then the writing is most likely on the wall for this regime (barring injury).
8-8 is a reasonable expectation for year 2 of a rebuilding regime. If they aren't .500 next year fans have every right to be upset.

The Chiefs suck and have for awhile. They also have an inexperienced HC and GM. We're gonna suck for a long time. We might not even sniff a winning season for years. People always assume that you can rebuild and compete in 3 or 4 years. Well, you can IF the right decisions are made. Things haven't been right in at least 4 offseasons now. In fact, this past offseason was terrible in terms of obtaining players. We're like an expansion team in year 2. Speaking of expansion teams, the last one (Texans) has never had a winning season and it's year 8 for them...

Pie in the sky. 8-8 would be exceptional for this team.
