I have been on a Federal jury all week over a very sexual email that was sent. 2 "best friends with benefits" a male and a female after she decided to go different ways and the male in this case decides to send a email with pictures that belong in porn to her mom, ex-husband, ex-inlaws, her boy toys, and her boss and a few others after the she called it off. What a way to spend a week.

I almost did this week, but I got into an argument with the stupid defense attorney and was excused.

Called twice. First time, got dismissed by the lawyer. It was something involving a cop and a drug dealer in my hometown. I said, "Um, I don't like drug dealers, I know some of the cops, and I live in that town." Buh-bye.

Second one was some land dispute between neighbors. We came back for a second day, and halfway through were told that they settled. Apparently one of them didn't like the way it was going, LOL.

I get called almost every year, though in California, often it's phone in reporting that never amounts to anything. Have served on two juries, but usually get dismissed now due to the history of the second time. Ended up replaced during deliberations along with another juror in that case, because we both believed the evidence shown to us in the court room was not the same thing we viewed in the jury room during deliberations. I still maintain there was something very wrong with that case. The appeal is ongoing 9 years later, and I have been deposed 7 times about it. I hope it actually gets heard someday. It was a wrongful death civil suit over a drunk driving accident and I also still wonder why criminal charges were never brought against the driver.

Jury duty can be long and boring between the interesting parts, but really worth it if the process is allowed to work.

last year the wife served several months on a grand jury.

I got called once and had to explain to them what I did for a living. They told me to get the **** out and never come back. I guess I shouldn't have offered to let the judge smell my hand.

Just had jury duty the other day. First time ever and I was actually excited to do it. Sat there all freaking day and went home. Nothing. It sucked.

Been called twice and both times was excused before lunch. Attorneys seem to cross my name off their list fairly quickly. I don't think I have made it past the 2nd question on the Q&A before I am fully released. I'm quite happy with that as I have no desire to serve on a jury.

I always ask the question "Is anyone particularly exicted or interested in serving on a jury?"

Probably 70% of the time if you answer the question with a remark like your post, either I or the defense attorney will strike you.
