For all you Brock Lesnar nuthuggers...

That's exactly what Fedor would do to Lesnar too. Deal with it.

Here's some things I saw from this fight.

Fedor got tagged good to start out with. It's obvious that he's not used to stood up against a cage. He's gonna have trouble with bigger guys like Rogers...or should he ever fight Lesnar.

One thing you have to remember as well. Lesnar is stronger and a much better wrestler than Rogers. If Fedor and Brock would fight and if it went to the ground. Fedor would have a hard time with Lesnar.

If the fight was stood up, Fedor probably has the upper hand but even last night his boxing didn't really impress me. He hits hard, and all it takes is one punch to drop someone. But Fedor IMO was getting his ass handed to him until he tagged Rogers. Rogers also looked tired awfully early. Don't know how much that played into it. Lesnar is in much better shape than Rogers, Lesnar is also much quicker.

Overall it would take Fedor to knockout Lesnar for him to win. If it went to the ground, Fedor wouldnt stand a chance....Brock is too big, strong, and is probably a better wrestler than anything Fedor has faced. But all it takes is one tag to the chin and that would be it. Even with the Arvlowski fight, Fedor was losing, but then Arv got tagged.

OMG another idiotic post.

fedor has been the ground with guys bigger than Lesnar. Second, lots of guys LOOK like they are having their way with Fedor and then BAM, knocked the **** out. Arlovski was winning the fight against Fedor.........until he got KTFO. It's not uncommon for Fedor to come slow out of the gate then finish the fight. Hell, even Fujita pretty much knocked Fedor out on his feet, and then Fedor recovered in the blink of an eye and then finished the fight.

Lesnar's weight and size won't be an issue for Fedor, who is also a master on the ground. And standup wise Lesnar doesn't stand a fuggin chance. It's almost like some of you don't have a damned clue about MMA.

Uhh yeah it will be an issue. Weight, Size, Strength, combine that with great wrestling skills and yes it does present a much bigger problem for a smaller Fedor.

I wont disagree with the upper hand in boxing/stand up goes to Fedor, but to say Lesnar doesn't have a chance is just stupid. Brett Rogers did fine against Fedor's stand up game til the KO....thing is, once Brock got Fedor down on the ground he would try to control the fight, and I'm pretty sure Brock would try to keep it on the ground.

You're acting like Brock would go in there and would immediately get KO'd. That's simply not the case.

Not to mention last night they stopped the fight too early. When Rogers was on the ground Fedor didn't connect with any of those punches. Maybe barely one, but that one he blocked partially with his arm.

No, it won't present an issue. I'm not saying Brock has NO chance, but he's only got about as good a chance as Rogers. Fedor has fought bigger guys and better wrestlers. He'd sub Brock on the ground easily or knock him the F out. It wouldn't be much of a fight for Fedor. Brock's whole game plan has been to lay on guys and use his size to control them. That's simply not going to work on Fedor. And then when that didn't work Fedor would end it.

rogers was on top bombing away fedor took them all stayed calm and tried to come out of it with an armbar. aways looking for your mistake to put you down. i have seen him take much more and just keep on keepin on

#1 fedor was never in trouble IMO
#2 sure looked to me like rogers was holding the cage when fedors back was to it.
#3 when brock would get him down and throw those punches fedor would submit him fast

brock is a wrestler and lets it all hang out, fedor would take full advantage of that.

Pretty much exactly what I said to my wife when it was happening. Rogers was landing big bombs on Fedor and Fedor was calm as a cucumber and switched into a sub attempt. Lesnar just isn't anywhere in Fedor's galaxy and it's hard to believe that people think this would actually be a close fight or that Lesnar would even be favored.

again if brock tried to keep him on the ground it would end in a submission. fedor would get something sooner or later.

lesnar might be favored, especially if it is in the ufc. BUT all that would mean is that a lot of people would lose money.

I don't think there is any way he'd even be favored. If he was, as you say, it just means I'd bet the house on Fedor and retire early.

awww this thread shows why he would be favored. people watch him just go about his business and take their best shots, then get "lucky" and win. they THINK he was in trouble. they dont understand that last night was a typical fedor fight. he has the total package. and him being built the way he is just makes him more stealth.

That was 6 years and 50 pounds ago. I'm not saying Overeem would win, he is just the only decent matchup left. I don't think Werdum won his fight against Silva and would get beat handily.
