So for the most part we can agree, that he takes too much time, and the Chiefs have line that doesn't give him enough time. Would you also agree, that he is getting a little gun shy from getting clobbered more than any other QB in the league? Maybe even happy feet to the point of panicking when he actually has some time? Answer, set him down and let Brodie play. Let Cassel miss starting a few games, maybe he might get a fresh perspective. |

on the 2nd, no. i feel that would do more harm than good. would you have sat manning in 2001 when he threw a lot of picks and got happy feet when pressured? how about his rookie year? Funny thing about manning his 4 highest INT years are also his 4of his 5 top sacks taken years. WHY? |

The best thing for him would be for the Chiefs to get an OC that can: a. get him a little better protection; b. get a running game going and try to stick with it if it works; c. stop flipping WR's on him every week; d. let him throw the ball down field.

The same might be said with the OL, they need to play together and develop some continuity. Of course, they have to have some talent to start with, and that has been beat to death. I still think it would help him to set a while, but I doubt that happens unless he gets injurred. At the rate it is going, that is a major concern. He is really getting clobbered. |

Just for the fun of it, let's throw in Aaron Rodgers numbers projected out over his 2nd season just like Cassels. Same order as the other guys... Completions 328 Attempts 520 Percent 63.1 Yards 4510 TD's 32 INT's 10 Sacks 74 And Rogers is only 25 as compared to 27.[quote] Let's take a look at the weapons both teams had. The 2005 Steelers and the 2009 Chiefs. Steelers: Bettis, RB - Pro Bowler x6 Miller, TE Parker, RB - Pro Bowler x2 Randle El, WR Morgan, WR Ward, WR - Pro Bowler x4 Chiefs: Bowe, WR Big difference me thinks. Quote:
With a better o-line and consistency in his receiving core along with a running game, I think we will see a completely different QB. Manning or Montana? Probably not. A solid QB though? Yeah. Quote:

On the opposite end, Brown gets no pass as he is a pro-bowler whose job is to not whiff on tackles. |

Excusable:
-Needs at least an average offensive line. -Until last Sunday, has never had a legit #2 receiver. And NO receiver that was any kind of a threat to run downfield -Has no running game. A running game puts more defenders in the box, which opens up the passing game -Max protect. Because our o-line can't do their job, our tight ends are usually blocking. When there are less receiving options, it's hard to spread the defense out -A real QBs coach. Someone needs to sit him down and COACH HIM UP. I'm still stunned he doesn't have one yet. Inexcusable: -Needs to be better with the hot reads -Has to stop letting his facial expressions show his frustration -Needs to be more accurate when he has time to throw down the field -In some instances, needs to get rid of the ball faster |

I curse the day this sonofabitch was brought to KC; he's done nothing but make the off season and regular season a complete ****ing drag.

It can happen. I don't think his situation is all that much different from Aaron Rodgers or Matt Schaub. Schaub started on a new team at 25 and is starting to light on fire. Rodgers has some better weapons to work with and looks like he's having the same kind of issues as Cassel right now. I don't think either of those teams is particularly upset at their QB situation right now, nor is anyone that upset that the Packers drafted Rodgers when they had Favre.

You act like Haley would give a fuck. I aint gonna read through all this shit but there is blame to go all over. Our O-line is ****in terrible and no running game either.
Not the best of conditions for ol' boy Cassel to get his shit together. But yeah, at the first sign of the pocket collapsing he looks to get the **** out of Dodge. Haley needs to open shit up more, like he seems to do at the end of games. Don't understand why Cassel just doesn't take a ****in chance and throw it up to Bowe either, or at least just throw to him. These short passes are going to have me end up breaking my ****ing computer. p.s. good looking out badmamajama on the links throughout the season although this shit tis getting hard as **** to watch. Cassel isn't close to either one of those numbers. And if someone whose upside is Matt Schaub is what we traded for................****.
