Food and Drink Food Fight!

Since we're on the eve of Thanksgiving, I have a question for the CP:

Seems as if every person has at least one food that they just utterly love, but the majority of people turn their nose up at.

What's yours?

Here's mine:
I love black licorice.

It's my favorite candy. I like it even more than chocolate.

I grew up on Switzer's Black Licorice from St. Louis. It came in a candy bar rectangular shaped cellophane package, and when it was fresh, it was heavenly. When it was stale, it was like chewing on black rubber insulation.

I just found this stuff at my local Walgreen's:

This licorice is GREAT. Just as good, maybe better, than Switzer's.

If you like black licorice, try some of this. It's unbelievably good.

So, what's your stand on black licorice, and what is your personal favorite "weird food?"

i eat a bag of crunches from long john silvers. Most people especially girls say ew i think it is good especially with alittle ranch

I love corned beef hash but my wife and kids act like it's the worst thing ever. How could you not love that stuff?

Sliced sugar beets are OK as a salad garnish.

What weird food DO you like, and what's your position on licorice???

No thanks to the black licorice. I am not really into any weird/odd foods. Can't stand liver in any form, don't care for hominy, not fond of tripe (or most other innards). Other than that I can stomach most things.

I can do hash. Especially corned beef or roast beef hash.
Not so much on hominy. It's like soggy popcorn gone bad...

Can't do the weird green veggies like brussel sprouts, artichokes, etc.
Don't like broccoli either, although I know lots of folks love broccoli -and the subsequent broccoli farts.-
To me, it's like eating miniature banzi trees.

A good friend of mine used to make a special trip to Clem's Drive In in Independence (on 23rd Street just West of Sterling) to get a fried cow brain sandwich.

Are you freakin' kidding me?
