I know most of you would love a safety but we need pass rush.

Passrushers are valued more than safeties.

IF Mays is a Polamanu type then maybe but can you guarantee that?

If we had a legit fast passrusher like a Demarcus Ware then we win a couple more games.

He has to learn technique, and develop.

If he needs another season, why not give it to him?

We aren't going to be contending for a playoff spot in 2010, and when he does figure it out, it should easily be well worth the weight.

In the meantime, draft a RT that ha sthe potential to move to LT if Alberts doesn't work out, which is why I'm really high on Jason Fox.

He and Albert could well be bookends for years.
But if Albert continues to struggle through the year next season, then Fox has the potential to move over and be a very good LT.
You don't have to sell me on your arguement, I believe you, and have all year. But at the end of the year if the decision is made to move Albert to LG and draft a LT I will not throw a fit. I have faith in Albert being a force on this O-line. I don't particularly care where. Waters, Rudy, and O'Callaghan need to be upgraded, and while Smith has been pretty good, he is no spring chicken either.

Maybe it's just me but I think Hali gets held a lot but he doesn't get the call because KC is so bad overall.

Holds are missed on damn near every play in every game of every team.

Real pass rushers still get to the QB.

Unfortunately Hali isn't an elite player. He's too small to be an elite pass rusher. I like him though but KC needs a true threat on the left side.

I've posted this several times, but if you want D's keys to success, here's the positions I'd draft if I went pure needs:

1. S
2. NT
2. C
3. OT
4. OLB
5. OLB
5. RB
5. WR/KR

I still think the biggest problem is that by the time Hali gets to the QB, the QB has a mile of room to slide up in the pocket.

You get a nose tackle that can push the pocket back and the QB has nowhere to run.

I'm not saying it will turn Hali into a beast. But there's a reason why he beats his defender off the edge fairly often and then is completely absorbed by the block when he makes a move toward the QB.

I think you're embellishing a bit.

That might happen two-three times a game, max, but Hali doesn't get around the edge all that often.

And I'm being generous.

I'm going to be pissed if we reach for need instead of taking the best player available. If Berry enters the draft, we must take him. Otherwise we should take Mays, both of those players could be stars in this league and we need some damn playmakers.

If drafting 7 rounds of O-line would make all Chiefs Nation O-Line Harpies SHUT THE **** UP to Eleventy!!! and 4EVAH!!!, then I say do it.

I'll sacrifice a draft for that, yes Sir.
