I know most of you would love a safety but we need pass rush.

Passrushers are valued more than safeties.

IF Mays is a Polamanu type then maybe but can you guarantee that?

If we had a legit fast passrusher like a Demarcus Ware then we win a couple more games.

Man I went to his bar and grill one time...they offered free "valet" parking (they escorted you to your vehicle if you wanted) and you had to get a once over with the metal detector wand to get in. This was kind of late at night though.

Probably an insurance thing. West Side was always very low key and quiet when I lived in KC.

I once went to a restaurant so exclusive that they wanded me before they let me leave...

On second thought: big deal...

I always assumed that same thing. It's got Jared's name on it so they wanted to do everything possible to make sure nothing ever did happen there and cause him bad press.

Detroit has given up the 4th most sacks in the NFL this year. Know how many sacks Allen had against them in two games? One.

Pittsburgh and Seattle are in the top 10 of sacks allowed. Know how many sacks Allen got against both of those teams combined? Zero.

Cleveland and St. Louis are just outside the top 10. Allen was shut out against them too.

Its obvious that no one has paid attention to this. People can laugh it away all they want, but the numbers dont lie.

How often does the top two games of production of a good DE come against the same team? And how often are the rest of his games as average as Allens have been?

The point of my post was not that Hali is doing well. Its how disturbingly close to his sack numbers Allen would be without the Packers games padding his stats. But Hali only had 1.5 sacks against the Raiders and Redskins combined. His others were against NYG and Baltimore.

Incidentally, though, Hali has 26 QB pressures on the season. Allen has 19.

Just in case anyone wants to question it, you can visit profootballfocus.com, look up a player, and view detailed stats, including QB pressures.

Hali has 26. Allen has 19. Sacks-be-damned, Hali is pressuring the QB more than Allen is.

Would you want to be paying Hali $70M for what he is doing this year?

Do they consider a QB pressure to be inclusive of sacks, or seperate from them? It would seem inclusive from looking at Hali's numbers, but I've seen sites do it both ways, so I dunno.

I suppose it doesn't matter for the purposes of this discussion, since they rate Hali with 4 sacks and 26 pressures (30) and Allen with 10 sacks and 19 pressures (29), so Hali would still come out ahead. But it'd be good to know as I look at other people.

That's really surprising that Hali has more. Quick, someone check Allen's BAC.

Stats are nice, but they never tell the whole story.

If what you are trying to say is that Jared Allen is over rated and isnt worth every penny of his contract, YOU ARE BAT SHIT CRAZY!

If the Vikings could choose to trade back and get the first and two thirds back, they would keep Jared and give him that contract 100% of the time.

If you think Hali is in the same universe as Jared because of stats, YOU ARE BAT SHIT CRAZY!

Jared has more sacks than anyone since 2004 and if he stays healthy and continues to get better he could challenge the all time sack mark.

HE

IS

THAT

GOOD!

If all we are going off of is stats, Thigpen was just as good as Rothlisberger, Flacco and Ryan were in their first year as starter.

HE

ISN'T!

I also wouldnt be surprised if he challenges every record regarding sacks including sacks in a game by DT and the season total by Strahan.

The guy is a phenomenal player!

I wasn't arguing the point, I was just joshin' ya about downplaying stats and then citing his excellence through stats.

ahhhhh gotcha!

I see how that is kinda hypocritical.

For my sake though, I was adding those bold predictions to show in my view exactly how dominant I think he really is.
