Kids fighting?

My nephew is 11 and got into his first fight at school. His story goes like this. He was playing football at lunch and after they were done, he told one of the kids he had butter fingers.lol The kid punched him in the lip then my nephew went off on him and beat the kid up and made him cry. lol His dad didnt punish him due to the fact he didnt throw the first punch.

Anyways, how do you parents on here handle stuff? Since my work is offseason, he gets to spend tomorrow with his uncle lol OH ya, he got suspended for a day and a half, other kid got 3 for starting it.

He knows, he's been in boxing class the last 2 years. He knows how to handle himself. He's going to start back up after the new year. Cant really do boxing and football at the same time. lol Football is enough for an 11 year old. haha

They can, but its only after multiple infractions. You just get sent to another school really. These kids were 6th graders. 11 years old. Now, if it was highschool it may be a different story. My nephew doesnt get into trouble. He gets the occasional tardy for being late as his parents work at 6am and he doesnt start school until almost 9am, so sometimes he slacks. lol

I was 9, the neighborhood bully was 11. He was a chubby hispanic kid. I was a skinny little guy.
Anywho,
He used to beat the crap out of me regularly and I had never really learned how to fight.
Finally, one day I asked my dad what to do.
He told me the following,
"Next time this kid is going to give you a beat down, strike first. Punch him square in the nose as hard as you can. He may still beat your ass, but he will think twice about it beforehand."
Ten minutes later I walk outside. This fat little bastard rides by on his bike. I run after him and he stops. Next thing he knows, he's knocked off his bike, on the ground crying like a bitch with a bloddy nose. My old man saw the whole thing, he runs out and grabs me. We walked inside and he's laughing hysterically, (although trying not to).
He looks at me and says, "Not quite what I meant son."

A half hour later, the kids dad rings our door bell. Dad answers and the guy is going off on my dad, calling me a little bully etc. My dad tells him, "You want some of the same?"
That ended that.

hehe, Thats pretty cool. No one ****ed with my dad, but for various other reasons. He ughh. for 50 years lived a similar life of a Soprano's episode. My dad is ****ing crazy. lol

my grandpa told me (dad wasn't around) if you're defending yourself you want to punch the guy square in the nose. The guy will then do 1 of 2 things and you better anticipate which 1. He will either flinch and the watery eyes/bloody nose will just piss him off in which case you better either be ready to fight like hell or run like hell, or he will pussy up and back down in which case you better run like hell before his buddies get you

I remember back in the days one of my friends got jumped at a party. HIm and another guy went alone. lol We didnt get the call until very late that they were in this hospital. Back in highschool. Well, later in that week, we made sure that guy fought most of them dudes that jumped hiim 1 on 1. he beat every one of their asses.

This was actually a race thing though. Mexicans and Black folks. lol My "homies" we werent that many, but we had back up that was the cowboys. Man, we used to have some big time parties with the cowboy's at their ranches, so awesome.

I hate when people jump someone. I think thats such pussy shit.

My sons started goju when they were 5. Training prevents more fights than it will ever start and the quiet confidence and discipline shows through in everything they do. Best part is they don't even know they have it.

My dad said back in the day, if 2 people had issues with eachother, the gym coach would get them a set of gloves and they would duke it out, alone..with his supervision, no one around and that was that. Usually after that there wasn't any further altercations. There wasn't any gang fights, kids bringing knives and shit to school, 4 on1 fights etc. Of course my dad lived out in the middle of nowhere and this was like in the 50's-60's when it was ok to leave your shotgun in the back of your truck and a teacher could come out and look at it and say "cool here's mine"

No way in hell that would happen now.

Suspend my kuid for defending themselves and I'll sue the school as well. Just for the kicks...and I'd personally sue the Principle.

I will start him in Jiu-jitsu then probably muay thai. It will be important to get him some exposure to wrestling as well. I play grapple with him every day I can. He loves it. Gotta get a punching dummy for him to work on his striking next year.
