All Royals All The Time!

After consultation with others who peruse the game threads we decided to create this as a repository for all things Royals. Minor league news, AL (ahem) Central (thanks Vonne) news and anything Royals can be found here.

alnorth will continue the game threads as usual. But if you locate something of interest.. ANYTHING.. deals on apparel, best ways in/out of the stadium, giveaways, great stories from this season or from seasons gone by, rumors, trades, anything.... feel free to post it here.

If a big story breaks, you can still start a thread about it. There is merely an all inclusive thread that will make a easy for us all to keep up with all things Royals.

You have to admit tho, that he can be mighty frustrating to watch. You are probably right tho, if KC had a legit 1-6 his presence would be much more tolerable.

The Royals should trade Meche, they basically abused this guy and his arm is probably about ready to explode.

I base my opinion of him from seeing him play, not from getting some second hand information. I've seen or listened to enough games in that bum's Royals career to know that he isn't very good most of the time.

The people that want us to keep Buck are the same misinformed Royals fans that think Teahen and DeJesus are average ML players.

Buck is an average ML catcher.

And Teahen and DeJesus are viable ML players.

Free-agent catcher Jason Kendall is focusing on a possible contract with Kansas City.

There is a gap in the financial discussions, but the Royals offer what Kendall wants most -- a chance to play every day.

Kendall, 35, has appeared in at least 130 games in 13 of his 14 big-league seasons, including each of the last 10. He is a career .290 hitter, but the grind of a heavy catching load has begun to show. He has a composite .243 average in the last three seasons, including back-to-back years with Milwaukee in which he hit .244. He split the 2007 season between Oakland and the Chicago Cubs before signing with the Brewers for the 2008 season.

The Royals have a definite need for a catcher. Miguel Olivo, who led the team with 23 home runs last season, is a free agent, and the Royals are expected to non-tender a contract to John Buck prior to Saturday's deadline to offer players on the 40-man roster contract. --Tracy Ringolsby

This surprises me. For some reason I always pegged him as injury prone. Once again I prove that I'm an idiot.

It's not the injury prone that I'm too worried about. It's his production, and a noodle arm. Baserunners will be running wild on the Royals if they sign Kendall.
