I get the point, but I neither know nor care enough about that specific instance to say whether or not he should have made good on it. My point was a broader one. There is such a thing as a tongue in cheek comment, and they shouldn't be taken literally. Maybe that's what Hootie's comment was, and maybe not. It's not relevant to my point that not everything posted on the internet should be taken literally.
