Seriously, what difference does it make how wonderful somebody is in real life if they're a giant ****ing douchebag here? Unless the poster in question is your next door neighbor, SO WHAT? If I only interact with him here, or only see him for a couple of hours at Joe's house once every three or four years, his behavior here is how I judge him.

Exactly.

Though I have found that ones here that are good guys, are in fact good people in real life.

Just seems that CP magnifies those bad traits people already have, or good ones for that matter

I think "internet" personalities are a more accurate reflection of what a person is really like. How many people in real life are only nice to others because for whatever reason they fear or avoid confrontations, or gain some measure of perceived status/economic benefit by being nice to those they despise? The need for niceties are removed behind a keyboard.
