What makes you a Matt Cassel fan next season?

I could see that but don't understand it haley wants to go down field don't know if he would be patient enough with a short passing game.

I want to see him take to good coaching and improve the areas of weakness that Weis will surely focus on during the offseason.

1) going through his progressions faster and more effectively

2) be more accurate on his deep ball. He has the arm to do so, his main problem was overthrowing the deep ball both here and in NE. This should improve the more he develops timing with his receivers and trust in his abilities.

3) Get the ball to his play-makers with consistency. Hopefully we get him two more of those to work with.

4) dont hold the ball and take sacks that hurt the team

5) Confidence. Id like to see him trust himself to make some throws when we need him to.

Mainly , Id like to see him progress as he did in NE from his first 6 games to his last 6 games where they were polar opposites. He was about twice as effective at the end of the season as he was in the first 6 games, statistically speaking.

When Todd calls all of those plays that result in a loss of yardage on first and second down, it makes it damn tough for a QB to convert 3rd and long. Better playcalling which leads to more manageable 3rd downs will help the QB. It's not tough to figure out.

He does NOT have the arm to do so, which is why he had to punt wobble ducks to Chambers this year.

Remember Rodgers' overthrow in OT yesterday? Cassel cannot make that throw.

I was super impressed by his 40% and 36% completion percentages on passes over 10 yards these past 2 seasons.

When you can only hit 40% when Randy Moss is on your team, you have a problem.

Not saying he was stellar, but his stats would be markedly better had WR's not dropped 4+ passes a game.
