It's Scott Wolf so I'd take that with a pretty big grain of salt.

Norton Jr. went with Carrol i think i read that anyway. What about Todd McNair? Isn't he their top recruiter? Wouldn't be a bad choice IMO.

CBS 2 in LA said Herm is the leading candidate but don't count out Lane Kiffin.

As far as I know Jeremy Bates is the coach going with Carroll, I would expect whoever comes in to strongly try to keep Norton and McNair.

Seattle Seahawks:
A source close to the situation tells FootballCoachScoop that USC Linebackers coach Ken Norton Jr. has been hired as the new Linebackers coach with the Seahawks. http://www.footballcoachscoop.com/Scoop.html Can't always trust those sites though. McNair does have NFL coaching background with the browns too. You would think they would pony up the cash to keep 1 or 2 top recruiters on staff. Also read Carrol was offering Dwayne Walker a good sized contract to be his DC.

Hrm, considering Carroll can basically do whatever he wants I wouldn't be surprised if he did take a lot of guys.

I just threw McNair out there because of his recruiting ability. The timing would be bad to hire a first time HC. Could offer him the OC job to stay but I'm not sure he would know a lot about the pass game. Not his knowledge but a better way to put it is RB coach to OC doesn't happen as much as WR or QB coach does.

Gailey is waiting for Cowher to return next year otherwise i havn't seen his name brought up anywhere. Eric Price just went to Memphis as OC. I think Memphis anyway. Jon Embree is in LA already. I thought i read he went back to UCLA for his degree while on the last year of his Chief contract plus his son is a TE there so that part wouldn't help. Joe D'Allasandreas, Gailey's guy at OL who we just didn't renew. Shula, if the Jags staff gets blown up which is likely. Donnie Henderson hasn't been a DC since Herm went to KC and he went to Detroit. Martin Bayless and Kevin Ross both coach. Herm and Mcnair are both from Jersey. Both w/KC at the same time. Just trying to help Mecca. ![]() Kiffin though that would be a suprise even with his past there. Makes sense though.

Exactly. If I had to guess, I'd say Del Rio won't take the job. Jeff Fisher is another rumor, and I'd say that won't happen either.
My guess would be Herm, and I'm not against that hire. I've learned from my reaction in 2001 - Pete Carroll? Who? WTF? Dark horse candidate would be Kyle Whittingham from Utah. Not based on anything in particular, just a call.

Del Rio is denying being contacted by USC. But you know how that goes.
