You know I like a little gambow gambow now and again. These are the types of reasons why. If this shit never happened, we wouldn't play right?
I've never laid a bet on a roulette table since.

I played for a few minutes here and there just to learn the game that night. I broke even the rest of the way and walked away with the $350. I've never played it since either. I'm pretty much a card guy, and I'll handicap a horse twice a year.

Yep.

I pretty much stick to live Poker, and I'll occasionally hit a Blackjack or Craps table with the wife.

Haven't played the ponies in YEARS, though we have a track across the river.

Answered my question. I never really go to the track. I have a few times over the years, but I generally will handicap the big races and put a few bucks on them. Much like the $11 in tickets I put up tonight.

I've always kind of enjoyed watching horse races, and I've done pretty well handicapping them. For whatever reason when I put money on them is when I tend to miss.

You play a little poker don't you? Or are you not much of a gambler at all? I always thought you liked to play a little bit. Hootie is probably the only person who starts more gambling threads than I do, but I only play every once in a while. I'm much more fond of chasing sure money.

Yeah, I actually used to deal, and still play occasionally.

When we're in Vegas, you'll pretty much exclusively find me at a 4-8 HE table, or a 4-8 Omaha 8/b table.

We had a card room out here that played Omaha on Fridays only. It was a 2-8 spread game, and it was a solid form of income for me until that place closed down.

I don't count on ever making any money playing 3-6 limit hold em, which unless I go 35 miles up the street to that tribal casino I mentioned earlier, is the only thing I can play around here.

But that Omaha game was so ****ing loose that literally 8 times out of 10 I'd walk out of there up a few hundred bucks and never down more than a bill. A lot of people just don't understand that Omaha is a game of nut flushes and full houses, and even when you have them, you have to lay them down sometimes. I wish I could find that kind of game again..............

I lay down the flat out nuts on the flop ALL of the time in 2/4 pot limit hold'em...sometimes it's just not the right move.
