Oakley sunglasses: worth the money?

Up til this point I've not felt the need to spend the higher prices for Oakleys. My history of sunglasses includes a lot of broken pairs (and not always because of my negligence -- though that has happened). Now, one could argue that Oakleys are better made, and so they aren't as likely to break, thus making them worth the money.

For those who have owned them, what do you say?

All of this "i don't wanna argue, blah blah blah" is just you're way of trying to back out of defending your dumb comment.

Best Glasses ever- unfortunately I left them in a Mcdonalds the first day I bought them and now am trying to get my insurance co to cover the loss- That Big Mac cost me $4K
So, this guy buys a $4000 pair of sunglasses, and on day 1 he's hanging out at a McDonald's? AND HE FORGETS THE F***CKING SUNGLASSES?!?!! And you want your insurance company to do something about it?

I hope that review is fake, for humanity's sake.

I didn't even see that. Hopefully some dude working the fryer found them and sold them for at least 1/2 price.

The dude working the fryer found them and dipped them in batter and deep-fried the mother****ers because he's never seen $4,000 on his W-2 slip; let alone a $4,000 pair of shades.

If I'm spending $4,000 grand on carbon fiber; it's gonna be a sweet carbon fiber body kit for my 1994 Miata.

I noticed they only sell them at 13 stores, the first two of which are in Irvine and Hollywood.

I'm sure they sell a few of them a year... rappers, athletes, etc.
