found in a colombian drug dealers house

Would you have been able to know when enough is enough? When to stop?

My first reaction was "wtf is this dude thinking, he should have stopped and gotten out with at least millions"

But I don't think it's that easy. Humans are ****ing greedy and I would have probably done the same and continued.

Here's the slide show.

I'd be interested in knowing how much that is. It's tough to estimate from the pic alone.

Aw, c'mon folks: are you that easily impressed? That ain't $hit. Let me tell a story (Well it's a long story and it'd probably take about 90 minutes to relate the whole thing, so I'll give you the quick summary.):

Many years ago I was a cop in CA. My partner (a guy that was really too old for that $hit) and I were working this big drug case that involved these really nasty South African diplomats. There were using their diplomatic immunity to smuggle drugs into the U.S. And believe it or not, they started killing some of the cops in my department that were working on the case. They tried to drown me, but I escaped because of this shoulder condition. (Long story.) Sadly, they were able to kill my new girlfriend, which really pissed me off and led me to pull their house down a cliff with my pickup. But I digress. So as we were rounding up the ring leaders, we found a giant cargo container FILLED with drug money. Now let me tell you: THAT WAS IMPRESSIVE. You can't even begin to imagine how much money was there. And the funny thing is that my partner and I dumped it all into the harbor, just like the Boston Tea Party, except it wasn't tea. Wow! You would have really been impressed, believe me.

I'm going to make a rough guess that the big stacks consist of 1,000 bills. If they're all $100 bills, that makes each stack $100,000. And as a rough guess it looks like it may be 34 stacks wide and 11 deep, or 374 stacks. That would make it $37.4 million. Throw in those small stacks, and we're talking maybe $40 million as my initial guess.

gotta be more than that. according to the intrawebs, a dollar bill is 0.1 mm thick. let's assume that stack is roughly 2 feet thick (rough guesstimate)... my math comes up to roughly 6096 bills to each stack (assuming no space taken up by air). if we factor in air, you can safely put it at 5000 bills per stack. JUST the high stacks. let's say 1.5 ft tall for the short stacks, that's ~4000 bills. so, you're looking at:

374x5000x100=187,000,000 (tall stacks)
34x4000x100=13,600,000 (short stacks)

total? completely obscene: $200,600,000

haha!

Pretty damn close. $207 million

FTR these pictures aren't from one house or one guy.

The stacks of money was seized from a house in Mexico City in the early part of 2007 by Mexican Police and DEA. You can see the press release/pics/video right here...

It worked for John Gotti until his dumb ass kids and wife pissed his ill gotten fortune away. Usually when you don't have to work for anything in your life you learn the value of a dollar the hard way unless you're heir an oil baron or something of the sort where cash flow is virtually unlimited.

I'd imagine dying on a prison hospital bed after 50 years of being incarcerated is a tough way to check out.
