What is Chiefsplanet's take on marijuana?

This is purely out of curiosity. I'm just wandering what the majority here think about marijuana.

Do you think it's good or bad for adults to smoke it?

Do you think it's harmful in our society?

Do you think it should be illegal?

If you think it should be kept illegal, what are your reasons for that?

What reasons do you think it is currently illegal for?

It is currently, and will always be illegal because it is the cash crop of most urban, and almost all rural legal enforcement agencies. Go to court, 75% of the people there, are there for weed. Nice fines, court costs etc, more than make up for the money they have to pay to actually lock people up for smoking/selling weed.
It will NEVER be legal.

I think that field sobriety tests still generally work and are admissible in court. Could be wrong though.

Otherwise, yeah, it could be coincidental that he was a pot smoker. He might not have actually smoked for weeks.

Do you have a source where you're getting that information? I'm pretty sure the recent California push is based on stats that say the complete opposite of that. Misdemeanor charges might break even, but any time you have to lock somebody up, it costs taxpayers big.

metabolized is the word you're looking for.

metastasized means that your cancer has spread beyond the confines of it's primary location.

well they don't test for it because of the company's standards. They test you to save on their insurance rates.

I don't smoke it, but these are my thoughts:
-Classifying it in one of the most lethal drug classes is ridiculous. It impairs you less than alcohol and is as bad for you as cigarettes and fast food. And equally addicting too.
-Rather than spending a gatrillion dollars fighting a drug war against potheads, how about taxing the hell out of marijuana and collecting money that way? You save money, collect more tax revenue, and you can have DEA focus on the drugs that actually matter
-The only reason it's a gateway drug is because you learn how to buy drugs within the system and you start feeling like a rebel/badass. It's a small leap to test out illegal marijuana. It is an enormous leap to test out illegal cocaine. Guarantee that if marijuana was made legal and accessible, first-time pot users would be much more reluctant to try other drugs.

Fallacy. You just realize that you were stoned and they weren't that brilliant in the first place.

I think a big reason why it's considered a gateway drug is that when kids realize that everyone has been lying to them about pot, they figure they're being lied to about other drugs as well so they have no fear of trying them too.

Weed is not addicting whatsoever, you may miss it but you won't have any withdrawals and can quit whenever you wish with ease. It's not nearly as bad for you as cigs if you use a bong. It's not bad for your lungs one tiny bit if you use a vaporizer

Most weed smokers know not to mess with other drugs.
I do think it's bad for kids to drink and smoke however

While I agree with your last sentence, I've never known someone that did coke that never smoked pot. Ever.

Most coke afficiandos need a downer which is why liquor is so lovely. Plus the whole ingesting a liquid while dripping making your throat numb thing is always fun. But weed works just as well. Better even. It's cheaper.

The amount of liquor I'd have to drink to come down off a teener of coke would be way more expensive than the 20 bag of kine that puts me to sleep.

Neither of which I do anymore. The former because being THAT girl isn't really as much fun as it looks and the latter because I can't afford kine. :P

ya, if your doing lines of coke you would want weed to come down. But I mean that most "pot heads" stick to pot.
