Cassel has not removed any doubts at all that he can be the man. After nearly 2 straight seasons of starting, he's still basically an unknown. All he's proven so far is that he's not good enough to make the team better by himself. And we still don't know if he's even good enough to win when he's surrounded by superior talent that can carry him. And huge questions like that at the most important position is bad for a franchise.
All he proven is why he's been a backup for his entire college and pro career.

Branden Albert has struggled in two seasons starting at left tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs. Maybe he's proved that he'd be a better guard like he was for his entire college career.

Yep. It works alright.
If only it were factual! Albert didn't struggle his rookie season. In fact he performed on par with ryan clady, as he did last year. Its funny how two linemen trend in similar ways when they both change systems. You'd almost think there might be a reason.
