Willie Parker on the Chiefs radar?

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/footb...-signing_N.htm

Chiefs coach Todd Haley 'excited' by signing of RB Thomas Jones

By Jim Corbett, USA TODAY
Kansas City Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli and head coach Todd Haley landed a desired complement for quarterback Matt Cassel and third-year running back Jamaal Charles with Tuesday's acquisition of former New York Jets power back and respected locker-room leader Thomas Jones.
The 31-year-old Jones rushed for 1,402 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2009 and adds firepower to 4-12 team that averaged just 18.1 points per game. Jones scored 27 touchdowns the past two seasons and is a between-the-tackles jack hammer who will move the chains and help keep Charles and the Chiefs defense fresh.

The Jets saved $5.8 million by paring Jones from their roster last week. ESPN reported the deal with the Chiefs is for two years and in the $5 million range.

THE HUDDLE: Catch up on all the NFL player movement

Haley made it known at the NFL scouting combine two weeks ago that he sought a complement for the 5-11, 199-pound Charles, who rushed for 1,120 yards and seven touchdowns and caught 40 passes for 297 additional yards with another touchdown.

"He's an impressive guy. We can't have enough guys like Thomas," Haley said. "It's one thing to be a leader and another to have the ability to back it up. Thomas does that and is excited to continue to show that.

"He had his best year last year. And I'm excited he wants to be here.

The older brother of Seattle Seahawks running back Julius Jones rushed for a career-high last season after producing 1,119 yards or better each of the past five seasons.

"He fits what we're looking for," Haley said. "He's a good player, loves the game and is an excellent preparation guy and a good teammate.

"He's been a part of other teams turning it in the right direction and he's excited to be a part of this."

The Chiefs may not be done adding to their backfield. They have a Thursday visit scheduled with Pittsburgh Steelers free-agent back Willie Parker.

"If we have a chance to add good football players, we're going to do it," Haley said. "This was a great example of a good fit, no different than what we've been able to do coaching staff wise. We need to because we only won four games last year and we've got to be better this year."

Your attempts to spin your defense of Herm Edwards as a "I hated Herm, just not as bad as I hated Vermeil" excuse is weak and lame.

You are a walking, talking and posting vagina for Herm Edwards. Actually that is not completely accurate... you are a giant pussy for Clark Hunt and his entire operation over at One Arrowhead Drive to rape with the naive premise that the Chiefs actually give a shit about winning.

Clark counts on dumbshit fans such as yourself to keep coming back for 4-12, 5-11 seasons.

You can't run from shit like this:

There was no one who was more assinine and did more circle jerk posts than you with your Herman ****ing Edwards vitriol.

Was he a useless bastard that should never have been hired to coach an NFL team?

Sure.

But you're act was tiresome, and now you take shots at people who aren't enamored with this regime?

Only a Herm cum stain such as yourself would have a problem with so called "Herman Edwards vitriol"

What is your deal with Herm?

Why can't you just come out and say once and for all Herm destroyed the franchise with one of the worst 3 year coaching stints in the history of the NFL?

Just say it and I'll back off.

But based on you past comments and your curious sensitivity to the subject... you leave doubt.

Why do you continually think you're exempt?

You continually brag about your life's accomplishment in this forum (MENSA, for example) but you can't navigate your computer browser past page one?

You bring these types of responses upon youself.
I did navigate past page 1, FYI. But I didn't navigate past page 2 BECAUSE I HAVE A LIFE!!

Furthermore why should you and mailman and two or three others think you are entitled to throw shit at people? Who died and left you guys "the gods of Olympus" here? It's all about civility. I habitually treat everyone with respect at first. Whether I keep respecting them is up to them. Still it takes a lot for me to start returning insults. But when I get to that point I can and WILL dish out what they deserve. I have always stood up to bullies and there's no reason to quit now.

Huh?

9-7 playoffs

4-12

2-14

That's HARDLY the worst "stint" in the history of the NFL.

Are you smoking crack again with players from the U?
