You also lose long rebounds because of errant three point shots. UNI shot a ton of three point shots. Alot of people don't like to accept the fact that chance is a huge part of athletics in the best of one game series. When has the best team NOT won the NBA championship? It's been a while. That is why they play a best of series. In the NCAA, they don't do that. That is why it is one of a kind and it is so popular.

As a NCAA basketball fan, I appreciate that. As a KU fan, I hate it. Because if we would have the BCS system, KU would have 5-6 national titles in the last 20 years instead of two.

I love Collins too. Last year sucks ass without Sherron. This year has several losses also. Sucks that he has to go out like this.

Look what happened when we full court pressed them at the end. We got some turnovers........shoulda done it all game. Should have done it against Bucknell, Tennessee, SIU, and now UNI.

But even w/ that said. Self won a championship. Self has been a great coach since he was at Tulsa. He just needs to adjust to teams play a largely contrasting style. The same that Roy needs to do when he has teams that can't play his game.

There are coaches that are better recruiters than Self, and worse in-game coaches. There are coaches that are worse recruiters, and better in-game coaches than Self. But I still don't think you are going to find a coach that is a way above avg recruiter, way above avg in game coach, and a great ambassador for the game for the university as coach Self

I can't disagree with any of this.

I think Taylor, Collins and Henry really got outplayed today by UNI's guards. KU's bigs were better but it wasn't enough against a team that has their 7' Center shoot threes. By the way every big man in the Valley shoots 3's. Indiana State makes a living doing it.

As I mentioned hours ago in this thread, Self has a real problem motivating and game planning for smaller schools with less talented players.

it was ****ing NORTHERN IOWA versus the best ****ing team in the country. i'd be ****ing pissed if i were you at the players and that coach not getting them to be ready, they had all ****ing game to do the press.
