Fox Sports Ranking the NFL Franchises:

Hard to believe they put the Denver franchise ahead of Oakland... but at least the Broncos are just barely ahead....

Fox Sports 2nd annual NFL organizational rankings

We rank franchises 1 to 32 based upon: Owner, front office, head coach, coaching staff, QB and "intangibles," -- a combo of fan support, facilities, stadium and PR.

#13 Sandy Eggo: QB Phil Rivers is star. Say what you want about A.J. Smith's personality, but he's a fantastic general manager with a great eye for talent. Concerns about the Chargers' long-term future in San Diego hurt the overall number.

#18 Kansas City: Scott Pioli is a phenomenal executive. Carl Peterson and Herman Edwards ran the Chiefs straight into the ground, and Pioli has already made great progress in this major rebuilding job. Todd Haley is a solid first-time head coach with a new all-star staff featuring Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel. I have no idea what the Chiefs really have at quarterback.

#24 Broncos: Head coach McDaniels often shows his inexperience and struggles to get on the same page with players and coaches. Losing defensive coordinator Mike Nolan after one season was a major blow.

#29 Oakland Raiders: The Raiders are a mess under owner Al Davis. But the appointment of Hue Jackson as offensive coordinator and finally cutting the lazy and out-of-shape QB bust JaMarcus Russell actually kept the Raiders from getting a lower score.

I could go on and on. Denver is the ONLY team in the division who won't have to worry about blackouts.
Your coach ain't won shit and Denver is odds on favorite to take 4th in a 4 team race~

Don't forget they lost their last 4 games in 2008 to totally throw up the division and then historically barfed all over themselves in failing to make the playoffs after starting the season 6-0. It takes a truly great team to put themselves in position time and time again to shit their pants so much.

have you forgotten that norvel turner was the offensive coordinator for the 90's cowboys? I know you weren't old enough to remember those days, but I'd say he has more rings than mckid. your utter lack of knowledge and complete and utter homerism makes anything you write impossible to read.

edit: he may technically have more, but zero of those rings came as a coordinator. turner has two as the offensive coordinator for the 91-93 cowboys. mcdaniels has three, all as either qb coach, personnel assistant or defensive coaching assistant (aka, he got coffee for two of those rings)

And Damon Huard has more Super Bowl rings than Dan Marino

What has McDumbass done as an offensive coordinator and above? Jack shit. He and Todd Haley have the same number of Super Bowl appearances.

13 is awfully low for San Diego just the same as having Atlanta at 8 made me scratch my head.

Norv only won 2 SB's w/ the Cowboys. McDaniels won 3 with NE and also coordinated the highest scoring offense in NFL history.

"Owner, front office, head coach, coaching staff, QB and "intangibles," -- a combo of fan support, facilities, stadium and PR."

Well, San Diego is owned by the Spanos family (nothing special as far as owners go), their coaching staff has underachieved given what they have on their roster, their fans don't really support the team, and their facilities are subpar. I'd say they're ranked too highly if anything. Archie Manning telling them to stick it in their ear pretty much tells you what you need to know.

Colts deserve to be up there, Saints probably do too for how they've turned it around and all that.

Patriots I think the #1 ranking is based more off past success than more recent things. They should probably be more like 3 or 4 maybe even 2.

I'd say they're being given the benefit for being in Boston with a pretty new stadium but if that's the case why aren't the Giants and Jets much higher?
