australia was up 1-0, but got red carded for a hand ball in the box that stopped a goal (it didn't look blatantly intentional)

ghana scores on penalty kick

ghana's celebration dance is the exact opposite of slovenia's gay light bulb changing dance....

That is exactly what I thought as I saw it; it was the antithesis. I don't know why I can't let this go. That Slovenian celebration really bothers me.

No, by the letter of the law, it HAS to be red.

Any foul that prevents a clear scoring opportunity is a red card offense. He had no choice as soon as he called handball.

That's irrelevant in this case. If he didn't want to get called for handball, he should have had his arms at his side, and not out away from his body. But then, the goal would have gone in anyway. So, it has to be red.

Ahh ok. I wish our ref followed te letter of the law. You know, don't blow the whistle on a ball into the opponents box 5 times whenthere was not a single foul in any of the instances.
