That said I am not a fan of Lesnar or Carwin and I would take a pass on any serious action. I might take some light action against the first round knockout by Carwin
If Lesnar had been fighting my take would be different (maybe). I think Lesnar having a year off hurts him a lot.

Lesnar has poor stand up skills. He has relied exclusively on his ability to "bully" guys because of his size. Well he won't be able to do that with Carwin in all likelihood. I also think that Carwin probably knows that Lesnar is going to want to take this to the ground and will force him to stand. Or at least, that will be his game plan.

I don't totally count out Lesnar at all. He has freaky skills for a guy his size. However when you factor in the ring rust, the fact that he's fighting a guy his size that hits like a mac truck and has excellent stand up, well that's a lot going against him. I think Brock even without the ring rust would be looking at his toughest fight ever. Throw in the above factors and I can't see how he would really be favored (but I think he will be because of "name").

If you read through this thread I have said pretty much the same thing. I am however picking Lesnar because of speed and his ability to bulldog opponents. I would not put any real money on it, A. because I really do not know, B. I really do not care~

No I read it but what I am saying is, his ability to "bulldog" guys is because the size difference has been so dramatic. Now he's fighting a guy that is near his own size so I think that won't play a part.

That is why most want to see this. Lesnar has some Clay/Ali in his persona. Some will pay to root for him, most others will pay to see him get his ass kicked. He really does not bother me and his cocky act adds interest. He is fighting a guy that has the size that he cannot just run over. That said I have never seen a man that big move as fast or have the type of agility he displays. Carwin has the striking ability to end it with a shot. It is a much needed match up because the biggest badest sells. That is what happened to boxing the heavyweights became a group of also rans. The lighter weight fighters are fun to watch but if you want to draw the casual fan it takes the big boys in a hyped match IMO

For some reason I think this could be one of the better main events UFC has put on in some time. Most of the one's lately seem to not live up to the hype. I can't think of a great one since Machido/Rua 1.

I care enough to watch, that's for sure.

It would not surprise me a bit to see Brock get the takedown, control and pound Carwin out.

But, Lesnar needs to be put in his place a bit, IMO. It shouldn't be this easy... for anyone.

It's not like the guy wouldn't bounce back. A lot of fighters do, after truly being beaten for the first time. (Lesnar considers the loss to Mir a fluke.)

I wanna see him get KTFO... and see how he responds.
