I just had the same problems and found this answer - well if the spammer id is lets say 888
the sql should be
DELETE FROM visitormessage WHERE postuserid=888;
Not Userid

anyway run first SELECT FROM visitormessage WHERE postuserid=X;
Just to see what you are deleting
