I still don't know why you think the Hawkeyes are somehow relevant in anything. I can maybe see resslin, but nobody really gives a **** about that sport. I guess that's why the Hawkeyes are featured on pretty much EVERY college football movie, not to mention their consistent top 20 ranking.


The only thing the nation knows about kansas football is that Mangino landed on a bad witch and the midgets rejoiced for a broad and her dog.

Hayden Fry disagrees with your assessment about the Big 10 network and other nonsense.
Why don't you take a peek at the number of Hawkeye appearances in big bowl games the last 30 years compared to Kansas AND Kansas State...

That's nice and dandy, Iowa is still obscure as hell. Iowa has never been prominent in anything except resslin. It really has no national presence. There are 2 schools in B10 with national prominence: tOSU and Michigan. Michigan has been irrelevant for the better part of the decade, though.

Nice work detective Iowanian, I was simply talking about school recognition, not preseason rankings. Nobody gives a **** about the Hawkeyes. KU makes its brand in basketball, people have heard about the Jayhawks even if it's due to shitty upsets in the tournament that takes place every March.

I'm counting BCS bowls and their precursers Bowl Alliance:

Iowa - 4 (2 OB and 2 RB.) KSU 2 (2 Fiesta Bowl).

KU- Nobody cares.

Well.... I guess their fan does. I suppose one they didn't really deserve. So you have to count that. But then again, I don't have to count it. So I won't. But then somebody might claim it's all spam. So I'll go ahead and count it.

Yeah, your 4 and 2 respective big bowls gave your schools national prominence and they're now considered football powerhouses on par with Oklahomas, Alabamas and Michigans of the world.
