Leinart is currently in a career dive. And, if he doesn't know it, his agent does.

I can see why they would consider him. He gives us depth at a position of need and, potentially, he could play well in Weis' offensive scheme. Plus, it's some tough love for Cassel ... finally. This could really be a good move for us.

This. There is no negative to it what-so-ever. If Cassel gets hurt, if Croyle gets hurt, I feel a lot better with Leinhart than I do Palko. The fact that he fits our offense better than any QB we have is just an added bonus.

whatever. He has upside I guess, maybe not. I don't know, honestly I haven't followed his NFL career. But I would take him as our #3, which is basically the #2 after 1 or 2 games if Brodie goes in. What would we be giving up? Tyler Palko, I'm not that attached to Palko.
