No qb reaches their potential in just a few years in the league. Especially in an offense your arm isn't strong enough to run. You don't need arm strength for the weis offense

Here is what I don't get.

Cassel gets railed daily for his inability to throw down field. He gets blasted for it and that is the reason we are going to fail this year and not live up to the teams offensive potential.

Now some of the same people are making excuses for Lienart's lack of arm strength saying he is a good fit because you don't need to throw down field in this offense.

Most of those same people are arguing that Leinart is a more accurate QB than Cassel. So, while they both share that same weekness, Leinart makes up for it by being better than Cassel in other areas.

What he might be able to do better (and yes, I am pulling this out of my ass) is hitting his receivers in stride.


Cassel rarely puts the ball in a place so that the receiver doesn't break stride.
