One day after being cut by the Oakland Raiders after being informed he was going to make the team before owner Al Davis insisted on the team retaining struggling former second-round safety Mike Mitchell, defensive back Stevie Brown has rejoined the team on its practice squad, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.

Per a source, Brown received a lot of interest when he was briefly a free agent and could be promoted quickly off the practice squad in Oakland or in another NFL city.
