Okay, there hasn't been a legit QB that the Chiefs could have drafted in the last two years, other than perhaps Freeman, but he was a reach where the Chiefs were.

And, the front seven looked good today.

The Chiefs don't win that game without McCluster and Arenas. Not with any fat NT you want to stick up there. Not with any linebacker you want to replace Belcher with, especially not any of the linebackers that were available in the second round.

I think there's just a little miscommunication going on here regarding McCluster's cut. I don't believe anyone is saying it was the greatest cut or individual effort out there, but that the blocking was absolutely magnificent and it was capped off perfectly by a guy that (fan of him or not) can make the cuts that I'd say about 70% of guys can't...

I feel like I should say once again that there was nothing special about McCluster's cut. But his combo of vision, ability to cut on a dime in terrible field conditions, small size to squeeze through the hole, and phenomenal blocking lead to a great play and possibly the most important play of the game for us.

Cheers to the W-I-N!

Mecca, it would be nice for just once to see you come on here and celebrate a damn win once in awhile. It was the same old shit after each win last year. Nitpicking and whatnot.

I hate to say it, but you are the only one that NEVER celebrates a Chiefs win, even in the slightest bit.

The defense was much improved. They kept Mathews in check, but then made Tolbert look like Mike Alstott.

But, I would say, a big part of the reason SD managed to rack up so many yards is because they had to find a way to get back in the game, so therefore Rivers was forced to throw a lot in the 2nd half. But I'll take this defense, giving up 400 yards and only allowing 14 points over the defense that plays like crap in the red zone, but holds the offense to 250 yards.

Ok, is the 2010 draft all about the one game or is it about the next 5 years?

Belcher is a beast against the run. The guy just fills the gaps and hits like a freight train. And he can wrap a guy up. That's what you want from a middle linebacker. And we are talking about a second year guy from Maine. His only direction is up. If DJ can give 75% every game of what he did tonight, we've got a nice linebacking crew for the season. Vrabel has lost a step, but it's like we've got a D-coordinator on the field when he is there. And Hali isn't elite, but he's all effort and never gives up on a play. If our front three come through all season long like they did tonight, the Chiefs have a chance to be respectable this season.

Hootie, threads like this are why you are a douchebag.

The team comes off a great, emotionally charged win, and you feel that it's necessary to start a(n) (erroneous) thread about how you always loved those picks and how people who don't agree with you aren't fans.

What the **** would you know about it? Have you supported this team with season tickets from your own wallet? I have.

Have you paid for Sunday ticket from your own wallet? I have.

Did you watch every play of this, and every other preseason game? I did.

So where the **** do you get off characterizing my fan-hood? I've supported this team longer than you, I've spent more time and money on it.

You in this instance, just like with the McCluster pick, have no ****ing idea what you are talking about, and instead create a fictitious narrative that you fill with your own ritalin-addled drivel.

Read my posts in the game thread and tell me I'm not a fan. And use all caps, please, since you lack the basic writing ability to convey emphasis through use of the language.
