You can pick up quality starting offensive lineman, tight ends, running backs, and special teamers in the seventh round. You can find linebackers and safeties. And a backup quarterback or two. And you don't have to fight other teams for the player.

They ARE valuable, whether it's player acquisition, trades or trade ups.

You may not recall but there was a time when the draft was eight rounds and before that, twelve rounds.

And I'm sure that the Houston Texans are really bummed that Arian Foster wasn't drafted by someone else instead of being available as an undrafted free agent.
