GIF'D UP! 2010

It was one year ago that Bernard Pollard missed five tackles in one preseason game. Angered by his ineptness, I gif'd his ass up.

The gifs didn't lie. Pollard was exposed as a fraud, cut and banished from Kansas City. Emboldened by this great success, I created a massive a thread in which we exposed every fraud on the 2009 Kansas City Chiefs.

No one escaped the wrath of GIF'D UP. Every week, the ****ing axe came down with thunder. It was brutal, it was bloody, and it used up a ****ton of bandwidth.

GIF'D UP is back for 2010 and season two. We're going to expose every fraud on the 2010 Kansas City Chiefs. Let's get this show on the road. There are 20 weeks to the Super Bowl, Corey Mays, Jon McGraw, Ryan O'Failaghan and Rudy Niswanger are still Chiefs, and we need to send Mike Vrabel into early retirement.

LOCK AND LOAD!

In about an hour, we officially kick it off with the Atlanta review.

It's either an bad overthrow by Cassel, or Moeaki breaks off his route. I kind of wonder if he may have lost the ball for a second. He's right in the area where the field goes from sunlight to shade. Wonder if he may have lost his orientation and couldn't adjust to the football. Even if he sprints upfield, that pass is too high.

Mentally, he should be aware of where they're going to be and if they might come open based on the coverage he's already looked at (Casshole looked at the right side of the field first, which is the side of the field Bowe is obviously running to).

But maybe I'm expecting too much from Franchise ****up.

Cassel looks right
Bowe is squaring off against a D-Back
Moeaki is freeing open, and is matched up against what I believe is a LB
Moeaki has a clear step on his guy

The read is fine. Moeaki was most definitely open and at the moment Cassel shifts his body to the left, Moeaki is a good read. And if Cassel leads Moeaki, he's even more wide open.

It wasn't a bad read. Just a very bad throw.

I looks like Moeaki slows down, then seems to see the ball and then reacts. It appears that if he had just kept on his course and speed, he would have been in position to catch the ball.

No?

Agreed. Moeaki is a more reliable target and a bigger body, so the decision was right. He just threw a total duck.

He slows down to adjust to a poorly thrown ball.

I don't think it's a broken route, but then, that's something that we probably just don't know.

But based on what I'm seeing, if Cassel guns that ball left, Moeaki has 2 steps on his guy. The throw doesn't even need to be perfect. Because the ball is over Moeaki's head, we dont' realize that the throw is essentially behind him. I am absolutely convinced that if Cassel steps into that throw and fires it leading Moeaki to the sidelines, it's a complete pass. Game over.

I think it has a lot to do with the image gochiefs posted earlier. He didn't step into his throw. He was afraid of getting whacked. That's probably why the errant throw. And that's inexcusable--he had more than enough time to gun it.

The way I see it, there's a defensive back behind him which makes it tougher for him to move backward, not to mention that to move backwards he has to completely shift his momentum. Because the pass was poorly thrown, his only adjustment was to stop and go and get it.

Yes this is correct. Everyone keeps going on about a poorly thrown ball, but even the first time in full speed it looked like to me Moeaki gave up on the route early. All he had to do was run the route out, and he at least draws a PI foul more than likely.

Either way, we lost a game should have won. Won't be the last time either. It happens.

In that video, he's looking toward Cassel the entire time. Why would he slow down in order to catch a ball that he can see can't be caught unless he continues at the same speed and direction?
