Kansas also signs the top rated linebacker in Kansas (Ben Heeney out of Hutch) and Olathe North Adonis Saunders.

Say what you want about Gill but he will have his chance to show what he can do with "his guys"...

The commitment list is now up to 18... and the good thing is none of them are juco's

Truth be told, you could use some JC talent on your team. I wouldn't bag JC's too much. Mangino did a pretty good job infusing that sort of talent in his Program.

BTW, I hated to lose Heeney. KSU offered him a Grayshirt opportunity. I also understand his family are big KU fans.

I take it K-State didn't recruit him because they felt that they were stocked on the RB position?

Nah, most KU fans aren't into that kind of recruiting. Too many "big time" JuCo guys have come in the past and maybe have been ok players but not the impact of guys that grow from the beginning (Marcus Henry, Aqib Talib, Brandon McAnderson, etc...)

I just looked through the KSU list. Seems Snyder is going that route again. I'm not sure it works in this era of early enrollment and indepth recruiting from such as early age. Maybe in the 1990's

Well Rivals still has him listed as having an offer but with the transfer of Bryce Brown to KSU I could def see them easing up on recruiting him.

Good luck with the JuCo's. You're gonna need it. Just saw that KSU gave up nearly 700 yards to Baylor last week.

Along with D-Robinson, a 4* from Wichita NW they got last season.

Really? I don't follow recruiting closely so I had to go look at what you're talking about. Why would you say its garbage. I see a bunch of 3 star guys with a couple 2 stars and one 4 star. At least according to Rivals.

He's never said anything positive about Kansas.

Why would you expect something to change now?

I'll just say, talent is not Darrian's problem. He has other issues that are scaring the bigger Program's away from him. If I were KU, I'd certainly take the chance. In their position, they have nothing to lose at this point.

We are fine at RB over the next 2 years. We have bigger area's of need that we have to IMMEDIATELY address - mainly the DL and LB'rs. If we don't get that cleared up this recruiting season, we might only beat KU by 30 in Lawrence next year.

Don't forget that Opurum was a 4 star recruit. WTF Gill moved him to defense I'll never understand.
