GIF'D UP! 2010

It was one year ago that Bernard Pollard missed five tackles in one preseason game. Angered by his ineptness, I gif'd his ass up.

The gifs didn't lie. Pollard was exposed as a fraud, cut and banished from Kansas City. Emboldened by this great success, I created a massive a thread in which we exposed every fraud on the 2009 Kansas City Chiefs.

No one escaped the wrath of GIF'D UP. Every week, the ****ing axe came down with thunder. It was brutal, it was bloody, and it used up a ****ton of bandwidth.

GIF'D UP is back for 2010 and season two. We're going to expose every fraud on the 2010 Kansas City Chiefs. Let's get this show on the road. There are 20 weeks to the Super Bowl, Corey Mays, Jon McGraw, Ryan O'Failaghan and Rudy Niswanger are still Chiefs, and we need to send Mike Vrabel into early retirement.

LOCK AND LOAD!

In about an hour, we officially kick it off with the Atlanta review.

I think that's reading into it a bit too much.

Pioli ****ed up by bringing in Cassel. Haley's making the best of what he has. Unfortunately, 2010 wasn't exactly the year to make any of the right moves to cover that mistake. It sucks, but as long as the Chiefs move on from Cassel, I'll move on too.

I doubt that there's any pressure on anyone's part to save face.

I didnt say any part of that.

No offense, but sometimes you guys read what you want to, the way you want to.

Reviewing film with the whole team -and in position groups- isnt a "secret meeting" and the wide open receivers are right there to see for the whole team to see.

The whole team watches Matt stare down his first or second read EVERY PLAY while an open receiver runs free.

When you review tape, you aren't watching a TV feed, you can all see the open receivers. You can see the whole field.

If you think there aren't players seeing these things and shaking their head, or in a way tuning out when they see them, I don't know what to tell you.

there are only so many times you can see your quarterback throwing to double covered guys, while under no element of pressure whatsoever and while your best offensive playmaker is WIDE OPEN with no defender within 10 yards before you start to lose confidence in the guy.

You know whats crazy about this?

I am usually one of the bigger homers, I usually try to find the half full part of the glass...Matt Cassels glass is 1/4 full and Im not gonna try to convince myself otherwise.

(he can't cover me)
so break open a cold bud and here's hoping you get that next big throw...(mister guy who always comes back to the huddle and says I was wide open in theeeeeendzone!)

I understand why you want to like Cassel, I do. I liked Thigpen and other sub par players this team has had on it over the years...I LOVE the team, so I want to find a way to like all of its players.

Heres the thing with me. Herm was the final straw. I tried to like him as a coach and it built nothing but false hope in my head for where the team can go. After his second year, I learned and vowed not to back players/coaches until they earned it on the field.

When Cassel does that, Ill be right here to take my crow and enjoy it with the rest of this community...but I doubt that happens more and more as the games get played.

When he starts delivering on third down and in the fourth quarter, I will be right here and Ill probably be the first to give that credit...just how I did in my "lets talk about Cassels improvements" thread a couple weeks ago that I got burned in a few times.

My hope was that after 36 starts he would start to play on a different level and that hasnt happened, at least in my eyes it hasnt.

No you don't. I've never said I like Cassel. In fact, I normally don't build up or tear down any player on a regular basis.

...my second post was just to lighten the mood.

He wound up on that play like a Randy Johnson fastball pitch. His followthrough looks really awkward...
