League's punishment to Denver

I didn't want to bury this question in one of the other threads.

Since they've already been fined, they've obviously already been found at least somewhat guilty. The fine ($100k) seems like a slap on the wrist to everyone I've heard voice an opinion on this. I understand there is more than likely more to come, but I'm worried the league isn't going to go as far as they should because Denver isn't really doing much. The comedy in all of this is the fact that Denver is 3-7, but that's what leads to my question.

If Denver was 9-1 right now, or hell even in playoff contention, is the punishment (in the end) more severe? If so, what would you expect from the league?

No no, that is too much light of a penalty. For a crime of this magnitude the only way to fully compensate for this travesty is to unleash the Herminator for a sentence no shorter than 3 years as HC in full control of all operations.

I have no reason to believe the puishment would be any different because of a different win/loss record. But the loss of a pick would be nice.

After we hired DV the Rams filed a complaint with the league offices.
We were fined because DV was still under contract even though he had already been retired, I think for one year, when Peterson had talked to DV about taking the job here. IIRC

No, I hate the city too - they enable the team... I trust you've been to the Office Park looking Martini Bowl thing they call a stadium? You know the one full of arrogant no-football-knowing saps... Yeah, it and they suck the root! Burn it... I'd say "Nuke um", but that'd put some nasty cr@p into the underground streams, and that could affect some innocent people, so let's not do that. Let's just keep the fire local to stadium and the surrounding 30 miles.

And at least I refer to my city by its true name instead of the local team that I hate... Really!!!???

They have been caught cheating before. It had to do with cap manipulation during thier Super Bowl years (Al Davis was right). They were fined. I believe they even lost a low round draft pick. Then they did it again. They figured they could live with the "punuishment". So, I don't think the record has anything to do with it. It's more if you're in the "in" crowd and they are.

$50K to a BILLIONAIR owner is a drop in the bucket. Guys on the ****ing practice squad make more than the league fined this worthless piece of a **** team in Dungver. The Commish needs to grow a pair and make the fine something that OTHER franchises don't want to happen to them. $100K for actually getting caught is nothing and a risk many would take even if they thought they'de get caught every now and then. I winning franchise puts people's asses in the seats, which could be recouped pretty quick.

Take away their #1 pick for a first offense. If they get caught again, take away multiple picks and give them a fine in the MILLIONS that actually pisses off an owner.

The 30-mile thing would still burn my house down, and I'm a loyal Chiefs fan. How about we instead hope for their team to get fined a bunch of draft picks and keep the teenager as their coach?
