I wonder if there can be some rule between the NFL and the NCAA where college football teams can't talk to coaches that are currently employed by a NFL team and vice versa.

My buddy Mort is reporting that Charlie Weis is being targeted by the University of Florida to take over as offensive coordinator. Weis is expected to take the job. But the one thing I feel confident in saying is, he won't be back in Kansas City next season.

I just do not believe this is going to happen.

#1 Why would Weis want to go from an NFL OC to OC at Florida? Major step down and for what?

#2 We all know Weis is not in the greatest of health. So now he is going to hit the national recruiting scene and fly all over kissing ass on college seniors? How much sense does that make?

#3 If Haley and Weis are truly at odds Weis would be a top choice with nearly all the new NFL coaches this season. Why go back to college?

Can not see Weis at Florida next season. Makes no sense.

Ya never know...keeping him might be more of a distraction to the players. Letting him go might be a load off their minds.
