It has a few redeeming qualities. Tampa was cool (lived there for two years in '95 and '96). Orlando's good for the major theme parks (mouseworld, Uni, Sea). Daytona's got the speedway, Canaveral's got the launchpads. The Keys are nice. Main drawbacks to Florida are the heat, the flatness, and the old people.

I would normally agree with you, but there is a megaton of smoke around this thing. It was only mentioned 8,298,592.5 (give or take 2) times during the Florida bowl game today.
