No.

But the fact that it has not been denied, despite much media discussion, is more than a bit interesting.

Not a done deal, but we're expecting that an announcement will be made after the game Sunday or on Monday.

I see. Well, I haven't exactly been Weis' biggest fan, so I don't really have a problem with it if he goes. Although he's been calling better games lately, so I really don't have a problem if he stays.

I guess I'm sort of ambivalent. Although the timing certainly sucks.

Charlie Weis' decision to take a job with the Florida Gators is largely due to the fact that he wants to work with his son, who will matriculate to UF.
Weis' son was set to work in the football office at the University of Texas under Will Muschamp, but when Muschamp recently took the Florida head coaching job, Charlie Jr. then followed him to Gainesville. Weis Sr. helped to catapult the Chiefs to ninth in total offense after the team ranked 25th in 2009. While Weis' successor in Kansas City has yet to be determined, a potential suitor whose name has surfaced is former Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels, who has ties to GM Scott Pioli from their days together in New England.

If he does indeed leave and we don't find a way to add Josh McDaniels to the open spot...it will be interesting to see which way Cassels career goes.

With Weis, he has shown to be definitely on pace to become a damn good quarterback and has shown visible improvement week in and week out.

Sure would be funny if McDaniels came here and was successful. That would piss the Donx fans off worse than Kennison did.

On Weis, also have updated to report his exit was inevitable. Haley had strong oversight w offense & Cassel. Weis wants autonomy

Great. When one would hope that our coaching staff is focused on the final week of the regular season and a playoff run, one of them is apparently splitting his time and effort with something else. Super timing there, Charlie. Just ****ing dandy. Way to be a part of the team, fatass.
